This is THE BEST onion burger in town regardless of what the hype online might recommend. This is a family owned and operated burger joint and they are always friendly and smiling when you walk in. I've been here 6 times in the past 2 weeks and the food tastes better everytime. I've driven past this place for years and didn't realize it. Highly recommend this place to eat at. Plus the Memes and Jokes on the walls add to the atmosphere.

I just left the restaurant with my best friend. And we loved it. I got the kiddie burger and small okra, and he got the Caesar burger with fries. Drinks were self-service and there's a condiment bar to dress your burgers as you wish. The okra was delicious and the fries perfect. As far as the political cartoons on the wall, they were pretty funny. And we are both libertarian. It's all about your sense of humor. Don't worry we will be back.

Fries were under cooked, Burger was unimpressive. Thankfully the extreme right wing political garbage on the wall is enough to make you lose your appetite. Will never return. Even if you're a moderate, this is way too much.

Great family atmosphere, a great staff, and awesome burgers. They are not ashamed of their political views and it is posted and I appreciate it because it is Right. So if you don't mind looking at things from the Right view then stop on in and enjoy the food and the staff.

How have I not been here before? Shoot me in the foot for my unforgivable blunder. The buffalo burger was hot, juicy and kissed my tasted buds. The onion rings, hand battered and made with the sweetest of vidalia onions. Sonic has nothing on those babies. I've never had an onion ring like it in my life. I could eat them every day. The sweetness of the onion against the crunchy, peppery batter made me mouth orgasm a little bit. I LOVE the condiment bar. Let me dress my burger my own way. Yes, please. I happen to think the prices are well within reasonable. Better food for cheaper than five guys. I docked a star because the lady that took our order wasn't friendly and all the political crap posted on the walls. I actually am a republican but a liberal one and even I thought it was over the top and obnoxious. I just want to eat, I couldn't care less about your politics. My family and I will definitely be back. No question about it. In fact, I had it for lunch today and wouldn't mind having it for dinner.

Has the #3 - Chilli Chessburger: Chilli has a lack of spices, actually detracted from the burger. Burger and fries though - very nice. I typically don't enjoy fresh cut fries as they are a soggy mess- but these folks are spot on! Nice and crispy, just need a good dose of salt! Place is interesting with all of the political propaganda, just bring something to read. Even the TV was on Fox news :-) Been wanting to try this for a while, had to get it in before leaving OKC and glad I did, one of the better burgers in town. But - what is it with no one seasoning the burgers here??

It's not just a place for a great onion burger; it's a great place to relax and enjoy dinner. It's almost like you were invited over to dinner at a friend's house. In fact, it's family owned and operated. You can tell! Each time you come, the food is consistently good. The buns aren't soggy from the onions and beef, and it has so much flavor it's probably the only place I'll come for a burger without adding a condiment to it. I recommend this place whole heartedly!

What more can you want from an independent burger place? Grilled onions. 9 zillion ways to fix your burger along with a condiment bar with both kinds of pickles, relish, raw onions, etc. Good fries. Onion rings. Friendly, family owned place. Like others, just remember that you will be able to "broadcast" where you ate from the scent that wafts in around you. BUT IT WILL BE WORTH IT. Conversation can be anything from Sooner Football to political (tending toward conservative) with excerpts or articles xeroxed around the booth on various topics that the owners enjoy. But hey, it's just a fun, relaxing and familiar very, very casual place! Lunch probably busiest and they do NOT stay open very late at night, so plan your visit accordingly.

Tried Mikes for the first time today not realizing I drive past it all the time. Very clean place with quick service. I tried the Mushroom bacon Swiss burger with grilled onions for my maiden burger. Wonderful! I didn't try any sides etc as it was mid-afternoon but I will definitely be back for the full treatment!

Awesome burgers and fresh cut fries. As i have said before, any place that serves fresh cut fries gets 5 stars in my book!

The food was amazing the service on the wait for the order was fast. This place has the best of the best onion burger places I've ever ate at. I definitely recommend this place to anyone that loves a great burger and amazing fries. No matter what you order you can never go wrong.

This place came recommended by my grandma. She warned me ahead of time about the politic stuff on the walls. So I was prepared. They are funny if u don't take life so serious. The food: I had the kiddie burger with bacon & cheese. Also had okra. It is very delicious. The condiment bar is nice, clean & stocked. The drink: serve yourself drink station with the always trusty to-go cup. The service: wonderfully friendly staff. Told her I was new in town & had never been here before. She was very friendly (even knows my grandma). Got a "combo" bacon chz kiddie burger, okra & drink for $6.25. Can't beat that deal!! Will be back soon!!!

Great burgers, but the real star here is the customer service. This is a locally family owned and operated restaurant, so they care about you and your dining experience. Also, they are very accommodating to special diets/requests. I have successfully dined there while eating the Atkins plan or even hCG protocols; which if you are familiar is extremely strict. And when you do try LM's you HAVE to sample their creamy Caesar dressing. They make it in house and it goes on anything and everything. They've started bottling it as well and I've seen it in Crest and BuyForLess. I'm sure it's in other grocery chains too (or should be). My favorite custom meal here is a lettuce and tomato salad topped with grilled chicken, bacon, shredded chedder, jalapenos, the infamous Caesar with hot sauce and mustard. Sounds crazy but the owner was eating one when I stopped by and I tried it and now it's all I order as I am high protein-low carb and gluten free for life! LOVE this place!

I dig this place. It's quaint, the atmosphere is always relaxed, and the food is damn good. I guess I shouldn't say "the food," as I only order the bacon cheeseburger everytime I've eaten there. To me, It's one of the best bacon cheeseburgers in the city. Why, you ask? Because, it is exactly what it says it is...bacon, cheese, burger. No frills, no fluff. Sure you could put a leaf of lettuce on it, maybe an onion, but I don't do any of that. I'm all about succulent meats and cheeses. The burger is extremely tasty without being greasy. There is a perfect mix of bacon to beef to cheese. It really is legit. Their fries are good, but their tator tots are winning at life. I don't even like tater tots and I thoroughly enjoy Little Mike's. If you're looking for a new burger joint to try, you should definitely consider Little Mike's. I seriously doubt that you'll be disappointed.

This is a little hole in the wall burger place, that you wouldn't really expect to have such great burgers. The service is super friendly, and the environment is nice and quaint. I always get the cheeseburger, and love that they have a condiment bar so you can dress up your own burger. The food comes out quickly, and is always nice and fresh. Also give their fried okra a try! Delicious. They are also good for large orders, as we often use them for corporate lunches.

The decor in this place is very humorous. I'm not a Republican but to each their own. Having said that.....the burgers are by far the best in OKC that the political ambiance doesn't matter. Give it a try!! Your tummy will thank you!!

Another good onion-fried burger joint. Nothing fancy, but good food, clean, and quick service. The burger is a nice 1/4 pound size, cooked together with chopped onions, served on a large bun. They have a condiment bar so you can dress your burger the way you want. Their fries are good and while not crispy, they were nicely cooked. The owner stopped by the table and apologized for the fries saying that by this time of the year, the potatoes have been stored so long that the sugars within the potatoes make it hard to cook them crispy. He said his fries by mid winter become "sub-par". I thought they were just fine. I liked my lunch and the price wasn't bad - $8 for a burger, fries, and drink. I'll eat here again.

I've been wanting to try Little Mike's for a long time, based mainly on the great reviews I've been reading on Yelp. Well, I got my opportunity today. I ordered the Bacon Cheeseburger with Fried Okra & a cold pop. I made time for that. Burger & okra was made fresh. The burger had good flavor and was a little juicy, but not dripping like most burger joints in town. The fried okra seemed way more fresh than most places that serve the same. I like the fact that the staff called you by name to pick up your order. When I walked in the door, I immediately understood what so many people had already mentioned about all the political paraphernalia plastering the walls. It was a little strange, but interesting to read nonetheless. I wasn't blown away by any of the food, but it was certainly a good lunch and I would be happy to try it again some time soon.

What I've learned from (repeated visits to) Little Mike's Hamburgers: 1. You cannot (or rather, should not) go here in nice clothes. Not unless you want the nice clothes to smell like onion burgers; delicious, delicious, onion burgers. Seriously, the smell is quite strong. The coat I wore into the restaurant was left in my car. Now my car permanently smells like onion burger. As does my closet. Now it's time to dry clean all of my clothes. Lesson learned. 2. The (previously mentioned) combination of Bacon Cheeseburger + Grilled Onions + Jalapenos + Sweet Pickles + Lettuce + Mustard + Ketchup + Mayo still holds true. Except maybe take out the jalapenos? They're not strong at all and don't add anything positive to the experience. 3. You will get a consistently good burger every time. Every time. I've never had a burger that isn't hot, fresh, and yum. The bacon is cooked well; thin, kind of crispy but not overly so, although I could just as easily do without the bacon and be happy. 4. The No. 1-4 combo(s), priced at $8.98 are only good deals if you get good sides. The fries are fine but nothing to phone home about. However, if you get the onion rings, you'll feel gypped. Steve M. warned me not to get the onion rings. Did I listen? No. -_- They're heavily coated, dry, hard, crusty, etc. They're awful. Absolutely awful. I'm sorry Steve M. I will never ignore your sage advice again. Get the burger by itself. That's what I do now. 5. Service is delightful as always. I'm always impressed that many of the patrons will stand around and talk to the employees after enjoying their meals (it's safe to say none of them are Democrats though...). I'm not about to start doing that, but I like that the option is available. From what I can tell, everyone is treated with respect. Except Pres. Obama. Also, they take credit cards, which is always a positive for me. 6. Also previously mentioned is the uber-politicized nature of this fine establishment. The more I read some of the things on the wall, the more I'm like, "Hmmm... that's a fair point." Uh oh, the FOX News rhetoric is working. I need to flood my brain with some MSNBC to balance me out. Joking aside, don't let the politics of the place keep you away from a good burger. I get that it's a bit (a lot) much with the Tea Party ideas being shoved in your face, but I can promise that they're kind to everyone who walks in regardless of where you are on the political spectrum. Now if you walk in and start mouthing off about gun control, it may end badly...

After careful consideration, I decided to nudge my rating from 3 stars to 4 stars. I'll look past the off-putting decor in favor of the food and fairly friendly staff. Their burgers are yummy and so are their fries. Good gosh greasy fast food! The missing 5th star is from my own personal inability to give a fast food joint 5 stars most of the time.

I made my first visit to Little Mike's today, and the only question that remains is; what took me so long? I went in mid-afternoon and got a nice greeting from the woman behind the counter. I ordered a cheeseburger with onion rings, the price being about equal to what I would pay at Johnnie's; correction, what I USED to pay at Johnnie's. With Little Mike's across the street I'll never go there again. The burger was made to order and very hot and juicy. The onion rings were fantastic; not like the overly breaded ones across the street. They were very crunchy and had a light batter coating which was perfect. The burger itself was also great. Very juicy and hot - after I dressed it up, got my tea and had a seat I still had to wait for it to cool a bit. The whole place is very clean and casual. Just a nice simple place to chow down on a great burger. I intend to try their other menu offerings in the near future - they look equally as good. So now I have a new spot. I'll spend the rest of the evening kicking myself for driving by a thousand times but never stopping in. Better late than never!

Thank you Little Mike This was the vest onion burger I have ever had. It was juicy and moist the buns were hot and he leaves the condiments up to you to put on so you know it is the way you want it. This food is meant to be enjoyed by good Americans and not those hippy tree huger type, so leave your Burkenstocks at home and come in here with a good set of work boots and a hungry appetite. The frys here are great too

Little Mike's is a great family atmosphere and you won't be disappointed with anything here. Awesome onion burgers and their chicken sandwich is delicious paired with their Caesar dressing. Also good to order to-go! Friendly service, very conservative "funny" cartoons, signs, etc on the walls. But a good old fashioned hamburger for sure

So you've driven past this place a ka-jillion times on Northwest Expressway, pointing to the passenger next to you/behind you/yourself, while muttering "now that's a place that has to be good." (while they just give you an okay you're crazy grin). This is the venue that has occupied your dive joint Must Try List, for a solid 12 months. You can see the grease oozing towards the street. You see the American flag. This is the day you conquer your Little Mike dreams. You love America and burgers, this place gets it done right? Not so fast. Note of caution: if very conservative memes make you uncomfortable, or you/anyone in your party lean in anyway to the left side of the political spectrum, this might not be the place for you. Tea Party ideals are posted everywhere, and I mean everywhere. You will feel bombarded with messages you may or may not agree with. Guaranteed, the closest experience you will come to being inside (I know INSIDE) that forwarded email from [insert_family_member's_name], which pops up in your work email, and you freak out hoping no one saw that/company doesn't spy on your inbox. But if you disagree with the President or feel strongly about 2nd, you've found your new best spot. In light of the above, I've disregarded atmosphere for this particular review. In short the place was pretty clean and staff very friendly. From now on, we are going food only. Ordered an Onion Burger with fries. As far as reasonable prices, this place is spot on. About $8 for burger/fries/drink. The burger was, well a burger. No extraordinary things are going on with just the regular onion burger. Reminded me a lot of a Whataburger, very thin but sans the delicious buttered buns and fancy ketchup.(No tomatoes either WTF?). Pretty basic burger. And maybe this isn't all Little Mike's fault. In the past few years, one could argue the burger standard's in the Metro have been risen to towering heights with what Tucker's, S&B's, Cow Calf-Hay, and even Irma's are pulling off the grill. So is my "meh, I've experienced better" attitude derived from the higher expectations around the Metro? Probably. The fries come in loads (could easily be shared between three), and you can tell they are fresh cut. This is plus for Little Mike's, unfortunately my order was under cooked. Yes total bummer. Add up the basic burger, with undercooked fries, and the rating speaks for itself. With all the burger alternatives in the Metro, my taste buds will be craving elsewhere. But Little Mikes, at the very least, is quite the experience.

I was in Oklahoma training for a job with the FAA and Little Mike's was one of my favorite local joints. Mike's makes a great hamburger at a reasonable price. The first time I went I thought I could handle a double burger with fries and I was wrong. A single patty with the delicious fries is more than enough for an average person. I highly recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a good homestyle burger.

This place is close to work and I have eaten here numerous times. The burgers, fries, and okra are not bad, but also not the best. When the mood strikes me I'll head their way, but more often than not, I find myself choosing to get lunch other places in the area.

  • Matt A.

Okay, honestly, I don't get it. The burgers are just decent, nothing fancy. Little Mike's make a BIG show about plastering their walls and tables in far-right-wing political propaganda, to the point that many of the reviews also comment on this peculiarity. Regardless of one's political leanings, this is just tacky. Why barrage your customers with preachiness everywhere we look? Why forcibly alienate any clientele that doesn't share your Glenn Beckian worldview, and just wants a $@%$& hamburger? I don't see the point here. It's bad enough that I actually think, "Man, I'd like a fresh burger that's not from a chain...where can I go? Oh, what about Little Mi--wait, no, I'm really not in the mood to be politically shouted at by every wall and table around me during lunch. I'll pass."

Thank you fellow yelpers for recommending Little Mike's! I have driven by this place probably thousands of time during the last 6 1/2 yrs. and today was my first visit, but it certainly won't be my last. Little Mike's menu has a wide variety, even a veggie burger! They also have a fixin's bar where you dress your sandwich the way you want. That way, if you put too much mayo on it you have only yourself to blame. I had the bacon cheeseburgers with grilled onions--delicious! The fries are fresh cut and much better than the fries from 5 Guys or Johnnie's. I am looking forward to trying their coneys and chicken fried steak sandwiches, too! For dessert they have fried pies....I didn't have one today but they certainly looked good and everyone says they are great! Try one and let me know. The service from the young lady who took my order was friendly and professional. If you like a great burger and you like supporting locally owned businesses, you owe it to yourself to treat your tastebuds to Little Mike's!

Little Mikes has the best burger in OKC. Whether you order the regular onion burger with cheese or do the buffalo burger with onions and cheese you won't be disappointed. The onion rings are the best around. And if you are looking for something different try the chicken Caesar sandwich. The dressing is homemade and the best around. The staff is always helpful and friendly. And the food is priced great. I would pay more of I had to. A burger, fries & drink is only like $5. The atmosphere is also great. Very patriotic. One of the cities hidden gems for sure! Locally owned too. @littlemikesokc on Twitter.

My family and I ate here based on the positive Yelp reviews. Not at all impressed. Very average hamburger. Nothing special at all. The extreme right wing propaganda that is posted everywhere is over the top. For almost $18 for two hamburger's with fries and drinks, it was way overpriced. And that did not include the tip I left either. We won't be coming back here again.

Onion Burger, mmm, yummy! Dark n charred, diced n smashed caramelized onion into a fatty beef patty, cooked at medium rare, wow. Fresh cut fries as good as In N Out; oh wait, even better! All they need is animal style and an option to have the fries cooked well-done and man we are in business.

  • Nancy R.

Each burger is made to order, they first put chopped onions down on the grill, next a hand formed ball of ground beef is smashed into those chopped now grilling onions and the aroma of the beef fat and grilled onions will make your mouth water. Next he puts the buns on the grill and he grills both sides, finally the beef patty and all the wonderful grilled onions are slathered on the hot bun. This burger is so packed with flavor you don't need any condiments from the condiment bar and the bun is so hot, it's hard to hold your burger. Homemade fries & onion rings with flavor!! Ok, I'm on my way to little Mikes for a burger fix. The service and food price is excellent, the flyers throughout the restaurant are fun to read.

If you have never tried an onion burger this is the place to do it. Top quality beef. Go with an open mind because you will be bombarded with republican banter pasted on the walls. Some is good some is bad. If you happen to be a democrat just ignore and enjoy you burger.
